IFP (Image Fingerprint Protection) is an independent research initiative exploring structural image fingerprinting as a forensic identity layer. IFP is not a registered company. The project is developed and maintained by Jevgeni Striganov, based in Estonia, EU.
IFP is currently in beta. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. It is a working research product, not a certified legal or forensic tool.
By creating an account and using IFP, you agree to the following:
You may only register images that you own or have the right to protect. You are solely responsible for the content you upload. IFP does not verify ownership at the point of registration — that is what the dispute system is for.
Registering an image creates a structural fingerprint linked to your account. This does not constitute legal proof of copyright. It establishes a timestamped record of registration within the IFP system.
Registration without identity verification (KYC) or verifiable origin metadata (C2PA credentials) is limited to test mode with a 3-day expiration. This is a deliberate design choice to prevent mass false claims of ownership.
The "Check Image" feature compares an uploaded image against registered fingerprints. Match results and confidence percentages are algorithmic assessments, not legal determinations.
You can assign license codes (LIC) to registered images. License data is visible when matches are detected. You are responsible for the accuracy of license information you provide.
The dispute system is currently in development and does not guarantee accuracy. If someone has registered an image you believe is yours, you can initiate a dispute. The dispute system analyzes metadata, compression artifacts, file properties, and other technical indicators to assess which submission is closer to the original.
Dispute results are algorithmic assessments based on available technical data. IFP does not make legal ownership determinations and is not an arbiter of copyright. In contested situations, IFP recommends that both parties seek independent legal counsel. Dispute records are stored as part of the forensic chain. If an account is deleted, dispute metadata is anonymized but retained to preserve chain integrity.
Do not use IFP to make false ownership claims, register content you do not own, or abuse the dispute system. Accounts engaged in such behavior may be suspended.
All images you upload, and the intellectual property rights in them, belong to you. IFP does not claim ownership of your content.
Structural fingerprints generated from your images are linked to your account and serve your protection. If you delete your images or account, the fingerprint data is deleted with them.
IFP treats the registered user as the rightful owner of the image as long as authorship is not disputed. IFP makes every reasonable effort to protect the author's rights within the system. However, authorship can always be challenged through the dispute system if there is reason to believe the registration is incorrect. IFP does not make final determinations on authorship — the system provides technical evidence, not legal verdicts.
IFP is not a legal authority. Registration in IFP does not replace copyright registration, legal counsel, or court proceedings. Match results and dispute outcomes are technical analyses, not legal verdicts.
IFP is not a content delivery network. Original images are stored for fingerprint generation purposes only and are not served or distributed to other users.

IFP is a research project in beta and may experience downtime, changes in functionality, or discontinuation without advance notice. Registered data may be affected by system updates.
IFP currently operates in test mode. Fingerprint registrations are active for 3 days, after which they expire automatically.
This is an intentional safeguard. Without identity verification (KYC) or verifiable origin metadata (such as C2PA credentials), permanent registration is not available. This prevents a scenario where someone could register large volumes of content they do not own and claim it as theirs.
Permanent registration will require identity verification in future versions.
IFP is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16.

IFP reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of IFP shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Estonian courts.
